Who is Makiziwe Steele?

Named after Nelson Mandela’s daughter, and being the only person in Barbados with this name, the docile life of an unknown would not have done the name justice.

A professed logophile and aspiring grammarian, most of my time is spent in my professional capacity as a corporate communicator. I also moonlight as a dancer at Rosa’s Cantina.

Content with going where angels fear to tread, you’ll often find me saying or writing something that would make most conservative and dishonest men uncomfortable.┬á

I spend my free time reading and trying to gain a better understanding of the world. I’m obsessed with crustacea, country music, Cabernet Sauvignon and Macadamia cookies.
